We would like to make your shopping experience on our website and in our stores an enjoyable one. Please read through our policy information carefully.

Website Errors

Availability of products, pricing and services are subject to change without notice. Any errors found on our site will be corrected as discovered and without notice. We reserve the right to revoke any offers due to any error within our website.


MSRP is not considered when pricing product.


Due to inventory changes and manufacturer restrictions we find it necessary to personally contact our customers with current availability and pricing at the time of their inquiry. You can obtain pricing by clicking the “Request More Info” button from any product screen, and a salesperson will contact you promptly with the information requested. Colder’s often runs multiple promotions both advertised and unadvertised. By contacting you directly we can provide pricing based on the promotion which will give you the greatest value.

Financed Orders

All finance orders require a minimum deposit to cover services and applicable taxes and are subject to credit approval prior to order processing. All financial paperwork must be completed and signed by the customer 48 hours before the delivery date.

Special Orders

Manufacturer delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees.

Here at Colder’s, a special order is defined as the following:

  • An item not displayed in our stores and not stocked by Colder’s
  • An item on display in one color, but available in other colors, sizes, or finishes

Special ordered merchandise cannot be returned, exchanged or cancelled once the order has been placed with the manufacturer. A 100% non-refundable deposit is required on all special order merchandise. When your merchandise arrives in our Distribution Center, please arrange a pick up or schedule a delivery within seven (7) days of notification. After (7) days, unclaimed merchandise is subject to release. Manufacturer delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees.

Dye lots and wood grain may differ in shade from those actually delivered by the manufacturer. Colder’s in not responsible for these differences.

Clearance Merchandise

Merchandise denoted and purchased as Clearance is sold “as-is” and cannot be cancelled, returned, refunded, or exchanged.

Natural Markings

Stainless steel products contain some stress marks, waves, and small surface scratches. These characteristics are considered part of the natural beauty of stainless steel and are not defects.

Fine woods and leather furniture have natural markings such as grain and color variations, as well as pits, scars and distressing. These natural characteristics are distinctive traits and are not defects.

Manufacturer Defects

Must be reported within 48 hours of pick-up or delivery or it will be considered in-home damage. Any damage not considered a manufacturer defect will be subject to in-home trip charge.


To ensure availability, accessories must be taken at time of purchase. Accessories and lamps may be returned in original condition within 48 hours of purchase for reselection only.


Colder’s does not currently deliver/ship out of state with the exception of Northern Illinois.

No CODs. All balances must be paid 48 hours prior to delivery.

A scheduled delivery cannot be cancelled without a 48-hour notice. If you are not home for a scheduled delivery, an additional delivery fee will be charged.

At the time of your delivery, please inspect your merchandise. Your signature of your delivery is your acceptance of your merchandise.

Colder’s will not be responsible for any in-home damage reported after our delivery team leaves the residence. Any damage must be called in while our drivers are still at the home.

Non-Deliverable Items

Accessories, Table pads, mattress protectors, pillows, and furniture care kits must be picked up at the store. We are not able to deliver them.


Checks: Must allow 10 business days before Colder’s will issue a refund check for your pick-up.
Cash: A refund check will be issued for any cash transaction.

Checks will be made payable to the name of the individual listed on the customer’s receipt. A current, valid Driver’s license or State I.D. must be presented by the customer to receive refund.

Credit Card: Credit Card account will be credited within seven (7) business days.

Completed services are non-refundable. These services include, but are not limited to attempted delivery fees, completed delivery fees and applied leather and fabric protection.


There will be a 30% restocking fee for all merchandise that Colder’s agrees to accept as a return. Colder’s reserves the right to void a return or exchange upon inspection of merchandise.

All product returns can only be approved through the Colder’s Customer Care Department.

All returned merchandise must be in new condition, including all original packaging, accessories, manuals and remote controls.


Manufacturer delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees.

Please review your order for accuracy before leaving our store to avoid any additional processing charges due to discrepancies.

Prior to purchase please ensure that your merchandise will fit through doorways and other space restricted areas (stairways, hallways and low ceilings). Failure to deliver due to these circumstances does not reserve the right to cancel the order, or to a refund of the delivery charge.

All mattress sales are final and cannot be returned.

A home, work or cellular number, and email are required so we may update you regarding your purchase.

All cosmetic defects must be reported to Colder’s Customer Care Department within 48 hours of pick-up or delivery.

The Colder's Furniture and Appliance website logs cookies, IP addresses and browser types, but we do not link this information to anything personally identifiable. This means that a user’s session will be tracked, but the user will be anonymous.

At this time, Colder's Furniture and Appliance will not take your credit card number online. Upon receipt of your order inquiry, a member of our customer service department will contact you to complete your transaction and schedule a delivery.

Colder's Furniture and Appliance does not give, sell, rent or trade prospect information to third parties. The information you must provide for a purchase includes: Your billing information: first name, last name, title, company, email address, phone number, coupon code and additional comments. Items in bold are required pieces of information.

Exception: If you arrived at the Colder's Furniture and Appliance website from one of our Partner sites participating in a Co-Branded site (indicated by both the Colder's Furniture and Appliance logo and the Partner's logo displayed on the top of the page) then information about your purchase may, in some cases, be distributed back to the Partner site.

Use of the Information this Site Gathers & Tracks

The Colder's Furniture and Appliance website logs IP addresses for systems administration purposes and these logs will be analyzed to constantly improve the value of the materials available on the website.

Colder's Furniture and Appliance Registration Form

We encourage all visitors to register with Colder's Furniture and Appliance. Your name and email address are used to send you our newsletter containing product updates and special offers. If you would rather not receive the newsletter, but would still like to register, please indicate your preference by marking the appropriate box presented on the registration form. Occasionally, we like to present you with special offers from our partners. This involves sharing your information with them so they can send you the offer. If you prefer, you can choose that your information not be shared with our partners by indicating your preference on the registration form. At this time, Colder's Furniture and Appliance does not accept or process orders on this website, and will not take your credit card number online. In the future, we plan to incorporate secure, online transactions. When this change is made we will update this privacy policy.

Sharing of the Information this Site Gathers/Tracks

For those visitors who register with Colder's Furniture and Appliance, we may share your preferences and demographic information with select partners, but will never sell or rent your personally identifiable information to any third party without your consent. Please see the Opt-out section below.

The information that you submit on the order form (contact and billing information) is never shared with any third parties, including our partners (excluding partners participating in a Co-Branded site...see "Exception below").

The ability for a customer to modify his/her information on the Colder's Furniture and Appliance website and track an order is currently not available. We plan to make this functionality available in the future. The privacy policy will be updated when such changes are made. At this time, Colder's Furniture and Appliance will not take your credit card number online. Upon receipt of your order inquiry, a member of our customer service department will prepare a customized freight quote that is best handled on a case-by-case basis at this time. The shipping companies Colder's Furniture and Appliance has contracted base freight charges on a number of variables and are not standardized at this time. After you have reviewed the quote, the customer service representative will take your credit card number over the phone and process your order. If you do not want to pay by credit card, you can send Colder's Furniture and Appliance a money order or cashier's check.
